The Othello cookstove at right was manufactured by the Reading Stoveworks in Reading, Pennsylvania in the early 1900s. The lovely green mist trim foretells the yet to come avacado appliance craze of the 1970's. Only an appliance collector could love that, but this mist over tan has a rich quality noting that this family had arrived. No black cast iron here. This beautiful logo holds the temperature gauge on the oven door.

This less ornate tan over beige model was more about functionality than style.
