The queen scheduled visits several year ahead so preparations could me made. Dinis Cottage was built as Queen Victoria's Tea house for her 3 day visit in 1861. She took tea at the same time everyday so this house was built in the location she would be at 'tea time' during her tour of the estate. Unfortunately It was under restoration during our visit.
